2019

During my time at Hasbro I lead a creative group in charge of events and merchandising. Beyblade was one of the brands under my umbrella. The marketing team wanted to bring to life the theme name “Be The One” and develop a competition and event space strategy along with a global guide to show how it could be scaled in every region. I lead the creative effort developing a look for live events that could extend into retail merchandising. The first “Be The One” live event 2019 VidCon where fans could compete on stage or ride the Beyblade Simulator.

EVENT ACTIVATION

The Beyblade event space launched at VidCon 2019 and was a huge success. The space was broken into several activity areas which included Bey Builder space, Freeplay Space, Competition Stage, and Beyblade Simulator space. I was really passionate about working in the Beyblade Simulator activation since it provided a unique moment that translated well to social media.

PHOTOGRAPHY

My goal was for the photoshoot was to find kids that looked like they were fierce competitors from every corner of the world. I worked with photographers and stylists to develop a specific shot list, look and wardrobe. This was one of those really successful shoots where everyone is excited at the end of the day.
