About

Jonathan’s passion for art began at an early age, inspired by his grandfather—a full-time machinist who also worked as an occasional cartoonist. His grandfather often challenged Jonathan to create characters from numbers, an exercise that sparked his early interest in creative problem solving and visual storytelling.

As a youth, Jonathan developed his skills under the mentorship of Carol Cohen, a respected Rhode Island art educator and watercolorist.

After high school, he attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NYC, where he majored in graphic design. At Pratt, Jonathan studied under distinguished faculty, including typographer Ruth Guzik, whose career included work for major brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Ford, and Pepsi. She was well known for her design of the iconic Mountain Dew logo.

Following graduation, Jonathan returned to the Rhode Island coast, as a designer touching brands like The Simpsons, Schwinn Kids and Little Tikes.

Most of his experience is leading leading packaging and branding at Hasbro for some of the world’s most iconic toy brands, including Transformers, Marvel, Star Wars, Power Rangers, Ghostbusters, and G.I. Joe.

His notable accomplishments at Hasbro include leading the global rebrand of Transformers, launching the company’s first NFT, onboarding the Marvel license, and founding an events design team that supported San Diego Comic-Con, global Toy Fairs, and Anaheim VidCon.
